What speeds up a useful reply
The fastest way to get a specific answer instead of a round of clarifying questions is to tell me: who uses your current system today? What do they actually do instead of using it? What is tangibly broken about that process (not just "it's slow"), and what you would consider a successful first release.
If there is a deadline or a budget range, say so upfront — it changes the shape of the technical architecture I will propose.
